I think that letting go of the thoughts that weaken us is an important thing, and one that in the past I have not done. The belief, the knowledge, that we can get back to a healthy, strong place is a HUGE tool and all too often, we don't hold it close. I've spent entirely too much of my life giving in to the negative thoughts I allow into my head (just before I give up on my goal).
I know that if I commit myself 100% and keep the vision before me of where I want to go, I can be successful. It's way easy to let go of that and say, oh, this is just too hard. But I KNOW that that is the mindset that got me to this unhealthy place to begin with.
I'm going to start a "vision board" today, to keep where I can see it on a daily basis and remind myself of the things that I really want and need. My goal isn't to get skinny and amaze people with how great I look. My goal is to get strong and healthy. I have family that I love and want to be around for as long as possible, to be there for them. And I just plain want to FEEL GOOD. So over my morning oatmeal and coffee, I've been thinking of what things I want to put on the vision board to represent health, strength, and my reasons for getting there. It's a feel-good project for this cold, snowy morning, and one that will help me on my journey. And one that can help me hang onto that knowledge and vision!
The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it-as long as you really believe 100 percent.
