I'm up early today - been awake since 5:15 this morning.
I'm off work today. Hubby is working. I debated a road trip to Regina for the day, but I think I've talked myself out of it. I don't need to go on a road trip and spend money today. I'm going to Las Vegas on Wednesday.
So I'm trying to find a distraction. Find something else to do today.
I know I should go running. I am finally feeling better - not as much pain. Last night, I had a meal very high in dairy - gluten free potato and cheese perogies with sour cream, and some frozen yogurt for dessert. Before I ate it, I had some pancreatic enzymes with HCL - something my naturopath gave me last year. So far so good. No excessive gas, no pain.
Now I need to decide what to do with my day. I'm leaning towards rest. I've got so much coming up here right away

Regina to see my doctor(2 hours each way) March 16.
Road trip to Calgary (10 hours each way) either the weekend of the 22 or the 29th. With at least 6 hours of dance lessons of course.
Top all of that off with 11 hour shifts at work every day between. Yes, my shifts at work are 11 hours long. I travel an hour each way, and work at my desk for 10 hours. No real breaks - I keep working through lunch. I do stop and get up every once in a while, but in all honesty, I work 10 hours straight with minimal breaks. I don't mind. As long as I'm busy, I'm good with it. I HATE sitting there waiting for work. Luckily that hasn't happened much yet.
Anyhow, it's a stressful month.
I need to go practice dance too. If I'm going to make it to Calgary in April and compete, I need to get more practice time in. I likely won't be able to compete, but here's hoping.
Maybe that should be my day's plan. Just do "me" stuff. Laundry. Breakfast. Dance. Maybe go shopping in town here. Why not.
This weeks Daisy Challenges are communication type challenges - blog, and comment on members blogs. Usually I love doing that. However, as busy as I've been, I often don't find the time in the day to do it. I'm going to have to do my best to find it. Mind you, when I'm in Vegas, I will be on holidays. I will need to bring my laptop - to track my foods, fitness, etc. I would love to not have to bring my 17" laptop with me, but I don't see any way around it. I don't know if buying a tablet would work or not. Maybe I should go and check one out.
Oh, here's the biggest reason dance is so high on my list these days. I have the Deepak Chopra Stress Free iPhone ap. I'm in the middle of the first key. It involves identifying things you Truely want - not desires based on your ego. I could only come up with one thing I really want. Here was my feedback on the questions I answered based on it:
My desire was to dance more. As you can read, it's something that may very well make me happy - truly happy. It's time for me to make it a priority in my life. One step at a time. The first step? Practice more what I learned in my last set of private lessons. Work on the exercises. Just get up and move more.
Anyhow, that's what I'm thinking, and how I'm feeling today.
