So, I want to apologize for my absence. The long and short of it is that I slipped and fell on ice the first week of January and broke my wrist. Had a cast for 6 weeks and my doctor said no physical activity while I was still casted. So I basically just went and sort of cried in a corner so to speak and gave up on myself. I still walked every day and tried to eat better, but I managed to gain about five pounds in those six weeks anyway, which didn't make me feel any better.
My cast came off last week but I was hesitant to log in to Spark People because I had been off for so long and hadn't been in a workout routine and I wasn't sure if I would be able to stick to it. Now I can happily say that I have been working out and eating better for this past week, managed to lose one pound (yay!) and mentally at a place where I think Spark People will be beneficial for me and where I feel that I can help others instead of dragging them down with my negative attitude.
I still plan on keeping the goals I set on my Sparkpage, but have adjusted the "deadlines" to account for my 2 month absence. Look out Spark People, I am back with a vengeance!
