I am by nature a list maker

My husband teases me over my list making, but the truth of the matter is that I have so many thoughts flying around in my head, that sometimes the thoughts that don't really belong together, get together and play. That would be okay, but then they wonder off on their own and it takes ages to collect them again.

So I make lists. Today is a list making day. I need to prioritize. Two things going on today in the exact same time range. A quick trip to the library (the kid and I belong to a parent-child book club and we need to pick up this month's selection to start reading) and there is a winter carnival at the other elementary school (nothing fancy, but the kid has a blast).

I have to do my C25K workout before we go. If I wait until later, it will make it harder to make happen.

That's an example of what a 4 hour window looks like today. I need a list. ;)

    I don't even have ADHD and I need a list for almost everything!! Somedays I even forget my list and then well...... I can't do anything!! LOL!! Power to us listmakers. They help keep us somewhat sane! emoticon

    Don't knock list making! I'm a list maker too.

As a mum who has adhd and with two kids who had adhd, I know that lists are a must! Being highly organized is the difference between getting stuff done and just stumbling through the day. If I got distracted or the kids lost focus, we could just go back to the list and say "Oh, yeah, that still needs doing."
There is also something really satisfying about crossing things off the list. It emphasises that feeling of accomplishment.
If your kids are "focus-challenged", list making is one of the greatest habits you can help them form.
So:
1: Good for you!
2:Pat yourself on the back!
3:Keep on list making
4 Have an awesome Day.
