Thought I would take a good look at the goals I set out for the challenge and see how I did in the first week.
Exercise: at least 120 min 3x a week ,60 min 2x a week 30 min 2x a week
I exercised 2 days for 120 min and 5 days for 60+
Focus on 2x a week strength training
Did strength training 2x
Diet: Log and stay within range on Spark
I'm very excited about this one. Successfully tracked each day.
Team: Check in daily and weigh in weekly, comment on a blog or post at least 3x a week.
I've logged in daily, participated in some of the fun threads, and commented on at least 3 blogs, and weighed in today.
Devotions 7x a week
Although this is farther down on the list, it is my highest priority. I know when I get this done it sets the tone for success in all other areas.
One on one activity with one of my kids each day
Accomplished this but need to balance it better between the kids. DD needs a little more attention this week.
So thoughts on my goals and progress. I'm thrilled with this week. The only goal I didn't meet fully was the 120 min x3 but in my journal I had written x2 so I didn't know that I hadn't met it until this morning when I looked at my spark page.
I think the difference this time is motivation. This time I have a specific date in mind for my weight loss goal.
As far as new habits, Nutrition logging is my weakest area. I know that when I log I lose weight. It has also gotten easier through the week to say no to those snacks or no to eating while I cook. I was amazed at how full I was last night after dinner without even making my calorie minimum ( I did eat a little yogurt as dessert to meet my protein goal and that put me in range).
I'm looking forward to continuing on the right path with tracking this week.
