It's officially autumn in my neck of the woods...

Saturday, March 02, 2013

...and today we were supposed to get showers. But I have spent the whole day from 10 am until 8pm in the garden and have just retired after watering my plants. Hopefully they will get a little sprinkle overnight, and I will be set for more gardening after I pick up our vegetables from the farmer's market tomorrow morning.
My back is sore but that will soon pass. I have spent the day working on a steep slope, scrambling around and leaning and reaching, up and down the steps to the car with green waste for the dump, and I am really appreciating my improved fitness. I can go all day now, I can get up and down In a seemly fashion, and my stomach, which is much reduced, doesn't get in my way. So, improved agility, flexiblity and strength, all goals I set for myself when I started out with Sparkpeople.

Isn't it great when all of the fitness work we do shows up on ability to sustain and get things done? Your garden looks lovely in your background picture. Kind of hard to put it to be for the winter, I'll bet.

Take care of that back!

Thank you for the Fitbit cheer. emoticon

I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Hello kiwi chick, I am also one and living in Auckland. I felt autumn in the air for the last month. I will be glad if the day temperatures would hover around 20. Where are u living?
