Insanity Program

Ummm not to sure this is the right time for this program. There is a so much jumping and use of the ankles lol that I may need to wait. Even with the adjustments I was in a little pain.

    Nothing wrong with trying. Since you've been in a cast, I give yourself more time and do exercises specifically meant to strengthen, stretch and increase flexibility of your leg. I know, it can be difficult when you rearing to go but safety first! Warm weather is around the corner and you don't want to miss out on that! emoticon

    Thank you everyone for your comments I am just out of my cast just a little over a month. I think I may try the program lightly for this month and then take StevieBee569 up on the offer to start it for real next month.

    Give it a try and modify according to what your body can handle. It is a very difficult program but well worth it. Take baby steps and build as you go. I'm going to start the program as well. I will proably start after my vacation.

    I started the program the end of January and I am still doing it. I did what I could and let my body tell me when to push. I did adaptions - like girl pushups. My body feels way stronger now than it did. I do take ibuprofen before I start since I do it at 4:30 AM with my workout buddy and I am creaky in the morning. I have noticed after 5 weeks that I can begin to do more of the jumping because my muscles are stronger and can protect my joints. I have only been able to do ~35 minutes of the @ 42 minute CD's. I have only cycled through the first 4 CD's. I will move onto the last grouping of CD's when I can confidently get through the first 4.

    I'm thinking about trying this program next month. I would like to use it as my challenge for April & May. Maybe, your ankle will be healed by then and we could try this program together? Let me know what you think! Also, take care of that ankle!
