Playlist help

Saturday, March 02, 2013

Today I joined the local gym. I am putting together a playlist on my ipod and planning to hit the gym tomorrow. I am starting to feel motivated again.

Any song suggestions?

I actually like the SparkPeople workout playlists you can get on i-tunes. They are decently done and give you a constant beat which can drastically vary using my own playlists.

I like to run to Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, and Lady Gaga. They get me pumped. And I don't listen to them when I'm not working out, so it's a nice change.
I'd be curious to see what you come up with. Always looking for new ideas.

Great job on joining the gym! I have a real mix of stuff on mine. Prince, Little Red Corvette, 1999, Lady Gaga has a lot of fast paced songs and so does Pink. I have a blog somewhere on my page with one of my playlists if you want to go look.

I have a huge variety between the 60s-today and across genres (pop, country, rock). I find that my mood is always changing. I set up play lists for fast songs, slow songs (which I usually don't run to), country, rock, pop, etc. so I can easily pick when I get ready for a run.

Also, the best thing I have is an XMP3 radio. Which is a portable radio (size of an MP3 player) that mounts in my car for Sirius/XM radio. It allows me to record hours of radio airtime on stations I choose and it has a card slot so I can add my favorite MP3s (hence the name XM & MP3 meshed together). I run with it in my hand so I can easily flip to the next song if it's something I don't care for. Well worth the few bucks a month for the subscription! :-)

I suppose that all depends on the sort of music you like...Myself I'm a 1960's & 1970's rock 'n' roll gal, with a bit of 1980's pop thrown in. Anything from Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and The Rolling Stones to New Order, The Eurythmics, and Survivor!
