The first big meeting of the year
Friday, March 01, 2013
We have the big crop insurance meeting behind us. What a relief.
This is where the company rep tries to spell out what is in store
for the farmer for the next year. But you have to remember that
like all good things, it is subject to change, usually after you have
committed yourself and signed on the dotted line. And there
are always changes after the deadline, when you are locked in.
Very frustrating but most government programs can be like that.
We had a noon buffet and I ducked out just as the meeting was
getting started to head back to the office and stay on top of
things there. I made a few phone calls, worked on another quote
that is getting closer to completion. Thank goodness that farmer
provided all the information I needed and asked some questions
so I could be more precise. He will take time this weekend to
look it over and get back to me.
Now I have another 8-10, just like that one. Very time consuming
but at least I can take a break, walk around and clear my mind.
The sun was shining today and it looked so warm outside. But
the wind was cold so it is not spring yet.
DS breezed through, deposited his laundry and headed to see his
GF. He is on spring break so I know he'll take care of his dirty
clothes when he gets home Sunday.
Just over 12K steps today and winding down. Still a very good
first day of a new month. Have a great Saturday and thanks for
stopping by. HUGS!
