I MOVED AGAIN :) Seeing as the closest stop for the public bus system is quite a ways from where I live now, I have to laugh at all the beginners walking programs I find online.
Why do they think people only walk for 15 minutes a day...4-7 days a week. It will take me longer then that just to reach the bus stop. But I really want to go to the library so I might end up walking closer to an hour each way. Now thats only a guess. I will have to remember to time myself and then keep track of the time to see how I improve later on.
Prevention magazine even has a "Super Fat Blast" walking work-out; that only lasts 10 minutes from warmup-to-cool down. Now how much at can you honestly blast off with 10 minutes??
! thing I shoulda bought today at the store was a cloth tape measure. I want to keep track of inches in my thighs, hips & waist; to see if I can REALLY make a difference by walking. Sure I have read other people's success stories, but I want to see if I can keep it going long enough to write my own.
