I made a big dent in my "to do " pre-op list. I have done grocery shopping, except for fresh produce, purchased a button up the front shirt for the day of surgery, purchased most of what I need for Easter and set up appointments to see several doctors next week before my surgery.
One of my daily goals for February was to know how I plan to exercise for tomorrow. I have done this consistently and am quite proud of myself. Despite my limited options for working out, I have managed to creatively maintain a workout schedule. I know that this will be put on hold once I have my surgery but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
It feels good to take control of the things that I can. I am a planner by nature and I like to prepare things in advance. This has helped my anxiety significantly!
