Hubby injured his back Tuesday at work. He came home at end of day and laid down on a heating pad for about an hour. When I got home he was hurting so bad and had not cooked dinner. I ate some yogurt and just passed it off.
Wednesday morning he could hardly moved so he called work and talked to the nurses station where he went when it happened. They had him go to the Workman's comp doctor. He has pulled muscles and is on meds. I worked Wednesday but have been off Thursday and today. i do love him dearly, but it is a trial when he is hurt or sick. This big strong male becomes a big baby. If I could I would have volunteered to go to work. He needs to take his meds and just rest. No, he must go here and go there. He was going to drive his truck. Well I won tht one. I have not driven this big crew cab in the city traffic so I insisted on takiing my car and driving. When we got home after 2 hours on Thursday he could not get out of the cr He would never had been able to drive. When this is over I am going to drive his truck around town until I am comfortable so in the future he can take it and I will be able to drive if he cannot. I have had it in my mind that I need to drive it around in the traffic. When we travel I drive it on the highway comfortably.

I hope he gets better fast for you both!
Mine whines some but generally I have to sit on him to keep him down. He took off the tip of his thumb last year & he surprised me by learning to bandage it himself after a week. And he kept right on working but kept Advil handy as it throbbed a lot!
He had kidney stones once & that was no picnic but was back to work within 2 days!
He blows out his knee & hobbles on! Bless him!

An injury isn't an illness but can be just as complicated to care for. When my hubby had his strokes and then a broken leg, I had to do everything for him for months, including getting him to the bathroom and giving him a shower. He hated it as much as I did, but what can you do? No one asks to be injured, so you can't blame him.
