Let me just start by saying that this morning I got up and weighed myself just like any other Friday but to my amazement, I had not only hit my 20 pound loss mark but I surpassed it by 1 whole pound! The last time I weighed what I do right now was when I was 25 weeks pregnant with AMC bringing me to 13 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight!! This being said, I have officially earned my first weight loss reward of new running socks and a pedicure!!
So Pretty & Pink!
On top of the 20 pound weight-loss milestone, I lost 4 inches in my hips, 3 inches in my waist, 1 inch in my chest AND am now able to wear my size smaller jeans in public! YAY!
At the beginning of February, my goals were to:
-Run a total of 40 miles
-Reduce my 5K time to 34 minutes
As of yesterday, this is how I did:
-34.19 total miles (I had to take 4 days off due to hip pain)
-My 5K time is now 33:50! I actually ran this on Feb 9!
-It was not a goal but I ran ALL of the first 8 miles of the Cowtown Half Marathon so now I know I can run that far again!
Even though I came a few miles short of my mileage goal, I am still VERY proud of how February went and plan to use it as a spring board for March.
Here are my goals for March:
-Run 40 total Miles
-Reduce my 5K time to 32 minutes
-Run all 13 miles of the Rock & Roll Half Marathon on March 24
-Lose 6 pounds
-Do strength training on 2 of my off running days
-Do yoga 2 days out of the week
I have done really well the past 2 months running consistently (probably the most consistent I have ever been) but in order to become a stronger, more efficient runner, I also need to be doing strength training and stretching.
So with all that being said, here's to a great month of March!
