Just wanted to share this beautiful, haunting poem with you! I can already identify with a lot of what is written here!!
Snow covers the autumn leaf.
Time has granted me full cycle. I know
The wintry anguish of hunger, sickness Ė family loss.
And more than once, manís ignobleness scraped my heart, but
I donít cut easily to raw edges of things now.
I look back, without sadness, without nostalgia.
The full passion of living struck the balance.
This season, eternal, invisible, signals
The coming of yet another. The end is not the end, but
The whole purpose of the beginning. So,
These leaves mix with the earth to nourish others.
And when snow is gone
They become the shade of another spring.
