Giving yourself permission to be happy.

Friday, March 01, 2013

You know how more often then not, people say, learn to say NO, and you will be happier... In my case, I think I need to stop saying no, and learn to say yes. I say no to too many things, keep myself from doing and experiencing things that would probably bring me joy. I keep myself in a little box, my comfort zone, my prison. I need to say yes, give my self permission to feel good, to do things that make me happy. It's week, I'm going to say yes more often.

I think you stole this from my thoughts lol. I say no because I am afraid I may let people down by saying I cant go at last minute. I do want to change that by being more accountable. This made me think that I am not the only one struggling with the things in my head. Thanks emoticon emoticon

I say no a lot too. For example i feel guilty for saying yest to going out with friends because I don't want to leave my daughter and husband. I don't go out and do things for myself because I feel guilty. :/ I agree with you, we need to say yes more often. With me however, I have to say yes and not feel so guilty all the time. :)
