End of Feb weigh in...

The month of February was an ok month for me unfortunately most of it was spent catching up from a week I spent entertaining my friends that came to visit. We had a good time and I don't regret it and I still was able to make some small forward progress for the month.

I have really enjoyed finding a group workout class I really like (Body Pump). Until this year it is something I had only done once my whole journey so far. I find it challenging yet not overly so where I feel I can't keep up. I am still getting used to adjusting the weight I use so I can make it through the whole track without stopping but I am sure I will get it figured out. I am a strength training guy so a lot of classes (zumba, spin etc) didn't catch my interest but finding this class I think has definitely helped. What is really great is it is something I get to do with Korina! :) We both have had personal trainers in the past so we are used to some of the stuff the class asks from us but we only trained together for a short time and this is another way to train together. I really enjoy that!

So anywho on to the numbers for the week.

Starting weight 380 lbs
week 6 weight 272.6 lbs
week 7 weight 272.4 lbs
Difference -.2 lbs
Total weight lost 107.6 lbs
lbs to goal 22.4 lbs

So only a .2 pound loss this week but I will take it. I usually don't lose a lot after after very hard workouts I tend to drop weight after periods of rest. So today is a rest day and we will get in another good workout this weekend :) So after a 7 pound loss in January I dropped a little less than a half a pound this month. I am still losing month over month so very happy about that. Just hope I can stay pretty consistent for march. I don't have to travel to Houston this month (Kids are coming here for spring break) so hopefully that helps. Hope you all have an awesome March!

  The thing to realize is that you've still managed to loose some weight which means this journey has become more of a life style change like it's suppose to be instead of a diet. You're doing so great and I know that you and Korina are each others biggest cheerleaders and the tough love ya give each other on this journey is taking you guys far into success and happiness. Keep up the great work!!

    .2 is progress and way better than a gain any day fantastic job at keep a positive perspective on that. That is so awesome about the body pump especially that you and Korina can do it together, great support and accountability! I have the body pump dvds system and I really enjoy it and man can you feel it the next day lol Great job with recovering February! March is gonna be an awesome month!

    You're moving forward...and that's awesome.
There's no 'end' date. It's not like once you reach your goal you're going to stop eating healthier and being active. So, consider yourself there and the weight coming off in the meantime is a happy side effect! 107.4 lbs...AMAZING!
Nice to read that you and Korina found a class you can do together! Have a blast!

    Well, better to lose a little than to gain a little! You had a real hectic month in February and did the best you could while still enjoying yourself. I'm with you, I'm hoping March will be more consistent and produce some better results!

    I enjoyed the update! Body Pump sounds awesome. I'm glad you and Korina get to do that together.

So... I'm going to Texas for the first time! I'll be in Houston next weekend with some of my family for a wedding. Our hotel is in Addison and one of the receptions is in Richardson.

    Hey, you're doing great! I was just reading a Chinese proverb on the calendar in the ladies' room, and it said something to the effect of, don't worry about how slowly you move - worry about standing still. Two-tenths of a pound is still something! Blessings on the rest of the way!
