I need to focus more on becoming a healthier individual and less on the numbers that are associated with "fitness".

Losing a pound means nothing to me if I know that it's due to the loss of muscle mass.

Staying under 1500 calories means nothing to me if I know that most of those calories came from high-fat, highly processed foods.

Running a mile under ten minutes means nothing to me if I can't finish the rest of my workout.

None of these numbers mean anything to me if I'm not in it for the long run. This is not about a quick loss of fifteen pounds. This is a complete lifestyle transformation that will hopefully stay with me in years to come.
