I saw another community member post about goals for the month today. It seems like a good idea. I'm not making much progress on weight loss, so I need to focus on what's truly important before I decide to derail myself.
1. Get my blood sugar under control. Fasting numbers have been high for the last two weeks. Seeing the doc next week with a set of numbers to analyze.
2. Eat Right. Two weeks low-carb to eliminate the cravings. Then good carb from there.
3. Spend time every day with my Bible and God. Yes, this goal has to be here too. I do better when I remember who I'm letting down and who can give me strength.
4. Try something new for exercise on Saturdays. I'd like to take a hike at the nearby park or even go play basketball somewhere. Just something new.
My hope is that focusing on these goals, rather than numbers on a scale, will keep me moving in the right direction.
