Stress Relief: HOT Coffee and other great stuff!!!

It's Friday, I'm sipping HOT sf nf mocha, working 1/2 day, looking forward to flying tomorrow to San Diego to watch dd play college softball and have some much-needed momma/daughter time! emoticon

While Mr. Sun emoticon is NOT my friend (my melanoma story), I AM looking forward to spending some outside time watching games in the 80 degree sunshine - From under my umbrella of course.

This week has been stuff and attending 2 celebrations of life. They are nice and a bit happier than traditional funerals, but grieving is still emotionally draining and sad.

The stress has definitely gotten to me -- I tend to hunker down and cocoon. Take alot of naps. I've been hungrier this week than 'normal'. Also been craving HOT HOT HOT drinks. Fortunately, I've been on the look-out for this. I did eat a handful of cheeseits, but mainly stayed away from carbs. Been eating more protein (almond and cheese stick snacks, greek yogurt with added protein powder) and meat dinners (sloppy joe meat and meatballs cooked in gravy). I've been generous with myself with the HOT drinks- as long as they are sf, nf. While I realize they've been a tad heavy on the fake sugar, I know I will cut down as my stress works itself out.

Scale hasn't moved- up or down - so don't have that bugging me. I do know the way to make it move down is to get MOVING AGAIN!!! emoticon Which I plan to do at the softball tourney this weekend emoticon
