February reflections

February has been a good month. I stayed with The Plan and discovered that wheat and shrimp are not friendly to my body - both caused a gain when tested.
I lost another 5 pounds this month and are at my lowest weight in nearly 7 years.
The best thing however is how well I feel. I sleep better and my joints aren't stiff and creaky when I get up in the morning. Yoga has become an option rather than a necessity to get mobile. I now do it because I like how it makes me feel energized and balanced, no longer to work the "kinks" out.
You could argue that the Plan is restrictive but why would I eat foods that make me feel bad and are not good for me?
Do I miss my cookie with my coffee? Yes!
Is it worth the stomach discomfort and joint stiffness (not to mention the weight gain)? No!
I have learned that the number on the scale is data - not a judgement on my choices. A perfectly healthy food can be reactive, everybody is different. I treat the Plan as a science project and learn as I go along :)

Yesterday's dinner: crustless spinach and mushroom quiche with chopped salad

    Looks good. I love shrimp, but have no idea how to fix them. I only have them on special occasions when we eat out.

We have teams going through "Made to Crave" right now. I look forward to going through "The Plan" when that is finished.

  Well I finally started today. I hope I don't find out I react to shrimp. I love shrimp, though I know I can still have it but I will learn to plan for it.

    So very happy for you! We both kind of look at this the same way as we age we just want to feel great! Of course it doesn't hurt to want to look good as well.
