The Bilbo Baggins Diet

Friday, March 01, 2013

I named this week's diet after Bilbo Baggins because of this statement made about him in Tolkien's book, The Hobbit:

"...he knew his duty and stuck to it however painful..."

Oh, yeah: I like this! And it IS painful . . . makes the hair grow on our toes, however!!

Thanks for your very sweet comment on my "maintenance beliefs" blog: I'm working on it!

Is it pain or just challenging? If the later then I know you can meet that challenge.

And I thought you were going to talk about bacon and eggs, or second breakfasts. Plus some nice cake with tea. emoticon

Now I'm really curious about what is so painful??!! Well, yes, when I think back there have been times when cutting back on my food has been painful, but most of the time, it has been joyous!! Hoping you can find the joy in healthy eating. If not, hoping you can do your duty so you can enjoy your success, and then you'll find the joy!

Whew! I was afraid you were going to talk about their "6 meals a day, when they could get them" from Lord of the Rings!

That's the spirit! But it won't be painful, it will be wonderful since you are treating your body with the respect and love it deserves!!!

Let's make March AWESOME!
