So over the last 28 days, I have lost 9lbs. I think I can safely say itís working!

In that time, I have not tracked any foodstuffs.

I have not changed my diet at all, other than to eat/drink things that are normally discouraged when trying to lose weight, and my exercise has not really increased, in fact because of a heavy cold, itís been a lot less over the last couple of weeks.

The only difference is the quantities. My appetite has reduced remarkably. I get hungry quickly, but Iím quickly satisfied too. If I exercise, I eat more. A simple thing, but Iíve not noticed it working before. If I eat too much one day, I want less the next.

I havenít been feeling deprived. I havenít had any cravings. I havenít been hungry much between meals, if I do I eat again.

It all sounds very easy. If you stick to the rules it is easy. It feels natural now to switch everything off when Iím eating, and to eat slowly, but I still have trouble concentrating on the food.

Iím off on holiday, on a cruise for a couple of weeks. It shouldnít make any difference. I donít have to Ďresist temptationí! I can allow myself full rein, as long as I eat when Iím hungry, and stop when Iím satisfied. Thatís the difficult one!

    Woo Hoo! Congrats on your weight loss! I am definitely going to have to get this book. As you know, I follow McKenna's system, but it seems this particular version of it has better results. A must try, without question.

    Sounds brilliant! I'm very tempted to go and buy the cd. Need to do something to get off this plateau I've been stuck on for weeks. Guess I should be grateful I've not gained.

    Enjoy that cruise! I want to take several some day! I am not heavy enough to qualify for the band....And I am not going to put on weight just for that! HA!

    Indeed, that IS the hard part--eating when hungry and stopping when full. They are two of my daily goals, and I hardly ever meet both of them--especially the eating-only-when-hungry one.

    Thanks for the update. These are really respectable numbers, I expect clothes are fitting differently now.

Have a wonderful holiday. Temptation comes in many forms!! I don't suppose they will have any real ale on tap so you might get converted to the daily cocktail.

    Very interesting. I just read your three posts about this - and now got subscribed to your blogs! Thank you for sharing.
I recently read 'Mindful Eating' by Jan Chozen Bays. A lot of that is about chewing and tasting and appreciating one's food, as well. I am thinking that just chewing well makes a big difference.
