What a Great Swim

Friday, March 01, 2013

So I read a blog the other day about someones "wardrobe malfunction". It was a great read! I about had my own tonight in the pool. I wear triathlon shorts when I swim. They were purchased about 15 lbs ago.

Tonight as I got ready to swim, I didn't do up the drawstring quite as tightly as I should have. I swim with a lifetime friend. Well, actually we didn't meet until I was 10 or 11. As you can imagine, we're a bit competitive. We've been "yoyoing" lately on whose the fastest swimming. The previous time swimming, he was sick. I beat him that night. I know that doesn't count; however, he came out fighting tonight.

When I kicked off the side of the pool at each end, I noticed that my drawstring needed to be tighter. I didn't want to stop to tighten it because we were neck and neck. Anyway, each length was getting worse and worse. Finally, I stopped to tighten it. I didn't want to traumatize the little kids! While I tightened my drawstring my friend got a full length ahead of me.

Stopping because the swimsuit is getting too big is a good problem to have! I also got back about 3/4 of that length before we finished.
