Motivation is at an all time high!

This was the end of the second week of weight training :) I lift four days in a row and then rest three. My body (especially my arms, abs, and obliques) are SOO SORE!!! That makes me so happy! I don't mind the sore muscles because it tells me I am making progress! My biceps are starting to show some definition already. That is so motivating! It has really surprised me how much I enjoy the weights. It makes me feel so powerful. The time I spend lifting is becoming the best part of my day. When I am done I am ready to conquer the world! emoticon
Due to the boost in energy (not sure if its the weight training or the extra veggies and protein in my diet to build muscle) I have gotten so many projects done this week. I finished sewing four dresses for my granddaughter Juliana and sewed three more rows in a quilt for my BF's mom's birthday (only 1 1/2 rows left!) I deep-sea cleaned a couple closets, started cleaning the basement (that is a HUGE job), and even cleaned under the fridge (very nasty under there).
The happiest project of the week (by far) was redecorating the guest bed/sewing room. I have been gathering ideas on Pinterest for a couple of weeks. This afternoon I just decided today was the day to attack it. :) I'm kind of spontaneous (understatement). I headed to Target to buy some single bookshelves, Home Depot for some brackets and a laminate shelf, and then rolled up my sleeves and got to work! I built the bookcases and put them on both sides of the bed. Then put the shelf across the top :) Tomorrow I am going to install lights, add pictures and quilts to the wall, and put things on the shelves. I'm seriously thinking about modge podging paper onto the backs of the shelves...we will see! I love it so much already. emoticon
We also had a surprise snowstorm this week. We had no snow predicted and woke up to weather warnings and about 4"of snow on the ground. Good thing snow makes me happy!! It was then forecast to end at noon, but the weather had a mind of its own and continued snowing for the next 30 hours. We ended up with over 12". We are expecting another snowstorm Monday into Tuesday. We really need the moisture. emoticon
Hope you are finding an activity that you can enjoy and that motivates you to keep moving!
