Maybe it's rather obvious, but there is a direct correlation between eating lots of veggies and staying in my calorie target range. I don't mean just a can of green beans at dinner, but a big tray of roast veggies, carrots as a snack, salad at lunch, etc.
The days when I really pull out the stops and make sure that I have a lot of vegetables are days I feel full and content most of the day and don't rack up hundreds of filler calories looking for satisfaction in bagels or sweets.
