February Results

February was a strange month. I was doing all the right things up until last weekend when we had a big family celebration. I left feeling a little upset that I had barely lost any weight. I was encouraged, though, that the trip would trick my body into getting out of it's slump.

March is a clean slate. I'll be updating my goals first thing tomorrow. I'm anticipating success!

    I actually gained 6-7 during the month of Feb. and then had a steep loss at the end of the month. I just got over a plateau myself which is one of the reasons I think my weight is flying off so dramatically. I had sat on a plateau (170 pounds) for 4 months and when it broke...it broke!

    Bri....I think it WAS a success! I'm facing the same thing at the end of March...my son's wedding on March 30. So anything I can do now can only be helpful for those last few days when I might not have as much control or choice over my activity level or food intake.

    In the past I would have thought that I might as well not try to be "good" because I couldn't uphold it at the end of the month. Now that I'm older and wiser I realize that what I do NOW can not only make me feel more on top of things in the present, but also when the family celebrations start.

    My vigilance now for exercise and tracking food will keep me grounded even though I know it will only be getting crazier and more stressful with each coming day this month.
