The past few days have been rough!!! My cravings are crazy! I cant stop looking at the clock for the next time I can eat. Soo bad. I know it will pass in a week or so. Its just hard. Im challenging myself to stay away from sugar. Not natural sugar like in fruit. Processed sugar like in candy and sweets. This is a big reason I want to eat everything. Yesterday I did really good with this. I only slipped up once. That was during the evening when I had some trailmix that had a few m&ms. Cutting out sweets and sugar is HARD the first few days. Your brain is wanting it and when you don't give in you start wanting to eat anything. So far so good today though. Atleast I acquired a taste for coffee with no sugar awhile ago. Cause it would have been even harder... Well, I just had to vent cause it gives me something to do besides think about chocolate or any other food I want to stuff in my face right now....

Go on to you tube, and look up the 'Havening technique' It looks absolutely stupid, but it works. It makes your brain release endorphins, which replace the ones you are used to when you eat sugar. Try it, it will cut your cravings by at least half!
Cravings are soooo hard. We can definitely become addicted to foods. I facilitate smoking cessation classes and other health- related classes. I've learned that a craving- any craving- will only last 3-5 minutes. If you can hold out for that long, then the urge should pass. The cravings will space out and decrease in intensity. Try to drink water to get through it. You can do it. Remember, a slip up is not an automatic fail! 1217 days ago
