We had to take Grumpy (my father) to the ER 2day. It was a very different experience then back home. Hubby goes to the hosp and deals with all grumpys issue he is his POA. Well here he couldnt ride in the ambulance to the hosp with him; so he ride the bicycle the 4 plus miles. Then when u 1st go 2 the er they put u in a green room and noone is allowed back there with you; even though grumpy couldnt answer any question or do his own intake. Once he go to a blue room then the let hubby go 2 the room w him. As soon as my hubby was allowed back several different nurses @ different times approached him r u Andy; he said YES n they were relieved. When they were asking grumpy question his response was either I don't know or Andy will tell u when he gets here.

They have done several test and more need to be done they admitted him. I have talked to a few they said he had rapid fire mini strokes. Then the other dr says that he hasnt had an actual stroke in years but that his dementia has progressed ( a yr or so back we were told he was border line dementia).

They are keep him in the hosp for more test to see if there is anything they can do to help him. They asked me if I wanted to place him I told them NO ( he wouldnt survive that); I informed them that I was trying to get him into a day program and an aid. The social worker will b getting in touch with me about moving 4ward.
We r already going thru issues trying 2 get him medicaid. They want 2 penalize us 15 mths cause they think we lied about how much we were paid 4 the house. We trying to explain that we would have lost the house n got nada if we didnt take the deal that we took.

so this is y I m asking 4 prayers 4 grumpys health & 4 me patience in dealing w ppl as I try 2 get him the needed help
