Goals for February:

emoticon Try at least 3 Green Smoothie recipes- Got a juicer for my birthday and made 3 different green juices instead. I'm calling this one met. emoticon

emoticon Continue 50 sparkpoints per day streak emoticon

emoticon Complete the Challenge for the A Book Club team emoticon but didn't do all that well. Still I stuck with it this week even though I wanted to just throw in the towel.

emoticon Track food at least 5 days out of each week- Nope, gave up on tracking when my weight went up 10 lbs in 4 days. It hasn't come back down permanently either as it is still going up above what I started 2013 at and then dips back down a few pounds but not back to the low I had this year of 254.

emoticonGet all paperwork except current stuff to office by end of the month --- HAHAHAHA. I want to just burn it all. Can't do that. I keep putting this off. Even today I said I would work on the office instead of our closet since the carpet guys are coming on Monday to measure and I wanted to just have all the rooms done. Now we are going to be scrambling over the weekend to get the office in order because I have spent two days on our closet and it's not completely done. This is a problem I have. I become a perfectionist on projects like this and if it isn't all done or done the right way, why bother. UGH!

emoticon Complete 6 annoying tasks - 1 done already so only 5 more :) Nope, I have two done and if I leave the closet today and call it finished then it will be three as the closet was on my list. Technically the worst and most annoying part of it is done. Oh, heck. 3 out of 6. Not great, not horrible.

May I be much more motivated in March. I just feel defeated without answers on the scale so why bother.

    Don't give up the tracking. I do it no matter how awful my day is. The only time I don't track is if I'm so sick I can't do it on my phone. I tracking is the one thing that keeps me honest. I hate tracking my food though especially if I haven't tracked it until late in the day and then pow - guess what? not good news.
Hope things level out where you can get your mojo back and in the swing of losing again. emoticon

    Don't give up on tracking , it takes time for things to show on the scale. And the scale is silly anyways. Yes, it's a progress checker but don't let it get you down! You can do it!

    don't let the scale get you down! lots of things can alter your number - anything from water weight, too much salt the day or so before you weighed, what you happen to be wearing (unless you weigh naked *kudos to you if you are brave enough for this, I am NOT doing that one!), etc. etc. etc. For me, I have a really hard battle with myself to stay away from the scale in the kitchen corner! It calls to me daily and haunts me! I really want to go weigh myself and see if I'm doing good with eating right and trying to exercise regularly, but I know if I don't get the number I want (which would be anything less than the last time) then I'll get disheartened and want to go eat something yummy so I'll feel better.
I second the comment above about Lean Cuisines for lunch. They've gotten better with their recipes and some are pretty good. They're worth a try and are pretty low calorie. You might also look at something like Nature Valley Protein bars, they're about 10g protein granola bars and come in a few different flavors. I find them to be a good afternoon snack for energy and a hold over until dinner time.
And please don't give up on tracking your food! Just start over again. It really helps to make you more conscience of what and how much you eat - something we all need to be more aware of!
Lastly, I've got to share with you my latest favorite quote from a book called Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard
"We will struggle, we will fail, we will be knocked down - but throughout, we'll get better, and we'll succeed in the end."
I can't help but think that that should be the mantra for all of us SparkPeople!

    Don't give up on tracking your food. 4 days doesn't even begin to let you see results and you didnt' gain weight by tracking. (YOu didnt' eat the laptop did you?)

Seriously, try again and set yourself a reasonable calorie goal and stay with it. 4 Days barely gives you time to start finding WHAT you can eat and stay within your goals. In my first couple of weeks I had a few days where I went WAY over and a few days where I went to bed hungry from bad decisions.

A few items I have found to curb hunger without knocking my calories off the chart...
Cousin Willies Kettle Corn, micro popcorn.
Lean cuisine Garlic Chicken Pizza for lunch.
Lean Cuisine Roast Chicken Panini for lunch.
Any Fruit, Veggies plain or with a little olive oil and seasoning.
Oatmeal for breakfast curbs hunger and is only 160 calories when made with water...

Try, try again....
