Many small starts eventually lead to change.

I was overwelmed in a sweet way of all the support I got from my last vlog and I want to say thankyou to all of you. I have been doing alot of sparking and reading and one thing that keeps standing out is the use of "small changes". Meaning you don't have to be perfect but keep making the effort until it becomes part of the new you, your life, your habits, your style of the way of doing things. So today I am going to incorporate a small change here and there, a vlog I just seen in the past few days was about a new look at vegetables. She was referring to cauliflower, and those brussel sprouts, two that I and my family don't usually eat but after I heard what and how she prepared and cooked them, my mouth was watering. So shortly I am going up to the store and get some, and for dinner tonight I am going to prepare the cauliflower for a rice alternative. Is much better than white rice and alot healthier. I have taken chicken out and I am going to cut it into cubes the size of dice, cut some peppers and rice, season it all and quickly pan fry up until cooked and crisp. This will be tasty and so much healthier than the junk I have been serving up all these years. See...one small change for today. I am going to set the table up lovely with water as the drink. And another small change tonight with dinner...turning off the tv, computer and just ask everyone to take their time and enjoy every bite and spark up some good table talk.

Anothe wonderful idea my sister and I were discussing this morning was we are both going to start OUR own family cookbooks. I have a new composition notebook from Walmart that I am going to jot down all the new things we try and the healthier remakes of the olde recipies. Once we get enough done than we are going to look for a creative way to make our own personal cook book which will be right up my ally because I am a crafter. Mine is going to lead me and my family to health.

Ok well I have to go, going to look for those vegetables, have a wonderful day sparkers.

Great Vlog! It looks like you are doing well if you are motivated enough to go walking in that weather. What an inspiration.

Great job on getting up and out for a walk! That is great. I got a bunch of walking in the last couple days while I was in Spokane for the concert. It felt good to get some movement. I also got some dancing in at the concert. That was fun. My granddaughter loved it.

I think the idea of the cookbook is great. What a great way to put your recipes together and then pass them on to your family!

You are right... emoticon We just have to make those small changes and keep the focus on where we are trying to go. We got this!!!

See, looks like we got alittle streek going on here, I went down to the little country grocery store we have out here and they had no cauliflower, lots of other veges but none of that. Or brussel sprouts, have to wait till I go to Walmart in the next day or too. So I have to switch out the plan abit. We are still going to have the stir fry chicken with peppers, mushrooms and some celery I need to use. So as a side I do have some bags of frozen veges so I will steem som of those and put just a bit of butter, and cracked pepper to flacor it. It's too bad because I was really wanting to try the cauliflower rice, lol. emoticon emoticon emoticon

hello!! I love small steps too. I find that changing too many things too fast puts me off. I have been stepping small since the start of the year and I can see a downward trend all be it a small downward trend.

Keep the small steps going!!
