RISING ABOVE THE FEAR OF FAILURE

Thursday, February 28, 2013

Today I want to concentrate on making sure I only think positive thoughts no matter how awful a life event or person or task may be.

Today is all I have (yesterday being gone and tomorrow not promised). I will treasure it to the best of my ability and keep in mind that it could be the last day I am given (hopefully not...lol)

I am going to think about developing habits that will keep me in the now and realize i need to balance the bitter with the sweet so I don't allow life events, people or tasks to make me waste this special gift of this day.

As one of my habits I am going to tell the people in my life, like I am now going to tell you all out there possibly reading this, how special you are to me and how privileged I am to share this wonderful journey with you all.... OUR LIFE.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Love Yvonne

Yvonne - your blog not only makes a lot of sense, it is a good reminder that we need to focus on the POSITIVES.

What a great positive attitude! You are so right, today is all we have as we are not promised tomorrow. I, too, always try to tell my friends and family how much they mean to me. Sometimes I think my DH gets tired of hearing those 3 little words, but I don't care, I tell him anyway. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! Hugs, Sharon

Hi Yvonne, I do usually tell my friends and family that has they are irreplaceable to me. Unfortunately, my parents weren't somehow able to do that for me and my Sisters and I longed to hear those 3 words from them. Sometimes I think I might actually overdo saying it but there are very few people in my life that I'm unable to say that to. My sons grew up with lots of I Love yous, You are special, etc. words I longed to hear myself. Love your great attitude. We're all doing the best we can if the Life situations we are in. Be sure to give yourself lots of TLC, as you deserve it.

    Hugs & Love,

    Jill

Yvonne, what a very eye-opening blog! I have to try to live each day as though it were my last--I always seem to think that I'll wake up tomorrow and be ready to go. As you said, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. One thing I have learned to do as an adult, is to tell someone how I feel. I may talk on the phone 3-4 times a day to my friends or relatives and before I hang up, I always say "I love you" Since you have been through so much for so long, I know you will be able to do all you say you're going to do. You are one of the strongest women I know and I know you can do whatever you set your mind to. And you know I love you :) Noel

Any person who has never experienced failure, has not truly lived their life. Failures in life not only teach us lessons, but help us appreciate our accomplishments. emoticon
