snow... a different perspective for me.

Thursday, February 28, 2013

snow... white stuff, cold, wet, that naughty four letter word that starts with "S"... SNOW! emoticon

i like to see it Christmas eve and Christmas day. but, that is about the extent of it. i know, i know... there is ice skating, sledding, skiing ect... but well, i don't really like that stuff, OH! and a PAIN to shovel and drive in! but as i look outside right now, and see it, it is beautiful. it is like God just re-decorated everything! or better yet, God just wrapped a present for us... SPRING!

just think of all those wonderful things that lay in wait for us... green grass, beautiful flowers, trees budding, birds chipping, peepers (little frogs that make a neat sound in chorus), which means, hiking, biking, swimming, taking long walks, tennis, touch football, camping, gardening, ect...

so, today, i am looking at the snow, in anticipation of "opening the present" of SPRING! gosh, i feel like a little kid on Christmas eve!

i better work out, so i can open MY present to myself, my more fit, healthy body this spring!

Yay! What a wonderful perspective! Spring is a gift from God, just like the snow in Winter. All seasons were made to be special to us as each one holds something new for us to experience! Thank you for such an uplifting blog!

I love that..."It's like God just redecorated everything." I miss snow! I've been in Florida for years now...same weather by 10 - 20 degrees all the time.... I miss the snow, the smell of spring, the colors of fall. ((sigh))
