CHAMPING AT THE BIT

Here I sit in the privacy of my home reading about how others are walking, going to the gym etc and the day is ABSOLUTELY perfect here for me to walk also, except that my walking partner is away for the afternoon STUFFING her face full of cake and coffee at the prestigious and world renowned Fancourt Hotel.
Its cool today with a fine drizzle, a perfect day for me to walk in and I'm soooo dying to go and walk and get soaked to the bone after the excruciating heat we had for a solid week.
Ultimately I decided that is just what I will do. I don't NEED a walking partner, I'm just used to having one. I got up, put my walking shoes on, attached my pedometer and I got a bbm message to say she's on her way home. How great is that? So I have a walking partner after all.
Basically I want to walk to the place where we go for the weight loss challenge. I want to see how long it takes for me to get there, so I don't pitch up late. I also want to see how "wrecked" I feel after the walk, or whether it wont be too bad.
Dinner is done, walking partner is almost ready so I say goodbye at this point.
