March goals

I can't beleive we have finished February already. It will be Christmas next week at this rate.
As I close out February with an 8 pound loss and some milestones hit I have been thinking about the changes/additions I want to add to March. Healthy eating is becoming the norm for the most part. Thinking is starting become a normal thing too.

I still haven't done any consistent exercise . I need to look really deep inside and see what is hindering my progress here. I have to get past this and make exercise part of this healthy lifestyle change.

March goals:
1. Figure out what is holding me back on the exercise end.
2. Push past the barrier and start some routine.
3. Lower calorie intake by 200 calories.


#3 is going to be much easier than one and two but it so has to be done. Wish me luck on my "internal dig" I sure hope I don't need the hip waders. I got the duct tape! haha

    emoticon Thought you might like a tool for the digging...this isn't really a shovel, but I figure you won't need anything that big to get to the root of your exercise resistance (oops, sorry...really no pun intended). :)

I've had trouble with the "intentional" exercise, too, but have recently found three "tricks" that seem to be working for me right now.

1. If I do something while I'm doing something else (like the exercise bike or dumbbell work while I'm watching a movie), the time seems to fly, and I WOULD have just been sitting.
2. Finding something I really LIKE, like dancing, even if it's just me while I clean.
3. Signing up for a class, like qi gong and yoga - if I sign up, I'll show up.

Sometimes one works, and sometimes another works. When you find your "tricks," please share them so I can try them, too!
