Holding Steady!

Hello Everyone!

I hope all is well in your world, my friends! As for me, I'm holding steady! Yep! My weight remained exactly the same this week! My initial reaction? Well, I was a bit shocked & disappointed & then angry! And the women weighing me in at Weight Watcher's says to me, she says... "well, you can just add a little more exercise!" What?!!

emoticon More exercise????!!! Uh, NO! I think NOT!

What I do think though, is that I need to take a look at what I'm eating. Not that I'm eating anything that's wrong, cause I'm not. But I know I've gone over my carbs just about everyday this past week. It's because of all the fruits & veggies I'm eating! And I've gone over on my proteins too most days. I've been hitting the mark most days on the fats & calories have remained around 1500 most days.

Okay, so I'm going to adjust what I'm eating & attend to staying in range most days! I'll continue the exercise just as, thank you very much! emoticon And I'm moving on!!!

Things coming up for me... (insert stress here!) emoticon

-I've volunteered for a bunch of things coming up at St. Matthews House & the Y
-I've got my daughter visiting in a couple of weeks! (no stress, just fun & love!)
-I'm moving the end of March (to a bigger & better place in Naples!)
-We're hunting for a new car.... (I HATE car shopping!)

Oh, & I'm also gonna be running a 5K in Cincinnati, OH, no less! emoticon And I'm doing it with a Spark Buddy friend of mine, COMPUCATHY!!! Oh, I'm very excited & I've already begun to train!!! I say...

    Keep hoping! It was one ugly gray day here today...ick...but maybe that will be it...I keep hoping. I'm so excited to be meeting you in May and running the 5K together! Little Miss Volunteer, eh? Doesn't surprise are such a supportive individual. You'll make it all work. Yeah, I think you exercise plenty! It's gotta be something with the diet. I don't know why, but I lose slower when I exercise more. I wish I knew the formula for figuring that one out. It's the one thing that DOESN'T motivate me to exercise more. Maybe I can play with the numbers and chart my progress or lack thereof and figure something out. I'll let you know if I do. You stick with what works for you. Keep up the good work!     Such wonderful news for you and Cathy to be running a 5 K together in May. Thats exciting. If that WW rep only knew how much exercise you did she would be have rethought her comment. Actually not sure I agree with that type of comment regardless of it's appropriateness or not. How about. So glad to see you again Rose! Oh yes your disappointed in no loss this week. How do you think you might switch things up a bit?Do you want to go "pee" and come back and see me and we can do this weigh in again. :)

    Been thinking about WW myself. I like the idea of weighing in. Don't think I can afford it. I love the recipes though. I'm going to check out their website. Any fav recipes you make again and again?

    Stress has the same reaction in our bodies whether the source is good or bad or uncertain or even unknown.

    in order to lose wt we must find that elusive exact sweet spot specific to our own body-
    involving not only our stress levels-
    but other hormone related functions of the body-
    the perfect required ratio of
    the perfect balance of calories in to calories out, depending on our own basal metabolic rate and varying activity level.
    All the while our body is evolutionarily trained to hang on to every bit of flesh on it and stay the same for as long as possible.

    It's a wonder ANY of us succeed at this!

    I am walking a 5K with DS and BIL in Pensacola next Saturday morning....never thought I would do that...never even thought about doing that.
