Week 3 Feb. 06: — -3.8 this week.... -10.0 so far!
Week 4 Feb. 13: — +0.2 this week.... -9.8 so far
Week 5 Feb. 20: — -2.4 this week.... -12.4 so far
Week 6 Feb. 27: — -2.0 this week.... -14.4 so far
-2 lbs this week, -14.4 so far these past 6 weeks!!!
I am so excited I just had to post it in it's own posting box!
My doctor told me that with 'my' metabolism problems + my age (I'll be 58 in 7 weeks), I can only hope to lose -1 lbs PER MONTH!!! (4 ounces each week!)
I am reflecting back during my past rounds of challenges when I'd only lose mere ounces each month and I was eating like normal dieters, by sticking with CICO instead of the QUALITY of the foods I was eating. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't eating bad foods, but I was counting out chips at the mexican restaurant, and eating a bread roll & counting it. For me and my body, grains & sugar are 'poison!'
This round I am really watching the quality of my foods... eating VEGGIES and lean proteins and greatly limiting my grains. I'll eat 1-2 fruits a day for my sweet tooth, and I've resisted processed sugar long enough (this past 6 weeks of BLC) that when I eat a yogurt, I feel decadent.
My snacks are raw veggies + lean carb, most of the time... or, 1 fruit + 1 lean carb.
I'm doing a "happy dance" ... and all this success just makes me want to remain disciplined in order to reach my eventual goal!!! Woo Hoo!!!
