Getting a great foundation from Spark Coach lessons on the concept of "self love". I thought I had a healthy balance for myself because I do focused on my needs and take time for myself. At this stage of my life I am now able to do this. I didn't realize that I still am too hard on myself. I always said I am my own worse critic. This, I thought,helped motivate me to achieve success and my goals.
Reflecting on the Spark Coach information from the past couple of days, I have come to the realization why this type of self criticism is counter productive. Positive reinforcement is the way to go and who better to give me the positive reinforcement than myself. In the past I beat myself up and was fortunate to have others build me back up.
Starting today, I am going to make a conscious effort to be my cheerleader. And not just in my healthy lifestyle changes but in all areas of my life.
