Today I had some kinks in my new lifestyle plan. I spent the morning at the Day/Night Clinic with my husband. (3 hours) He has an upper respiratory infection. The next 3 hours were spent at Walmart waiting for prescriptions to be filled. I arrived home at 4:15 and had to be at the clubhouse for a fajita dinner at 5:00. Breakfast was a toasted cheese sandwich and lunch was a chicken snack wrap at McDonald's. Not too bad so far, right?
Then there is the matter of the fajita dinner. I had a 1 tortilla, a little too much steak, a small amount of rice, one cup of charro beans, a small amount of chips with guacamole, and flan!! Needless to say, dinner put me over my goals! This is the first day I have gone over my caloric goal.
The good news: Hubby is feeling a little better. I walked several thousand steps at Walmart, and for today I am still down 7 pounds with a fasting blood sugar of 124.
