Wonderful news I've lost 10 pounds from her last measurement. That's 28 pounds. Across the board I dropped my Cholesterol 20%. My HDL is still very high and it puts me at an intermediate risk when added to my age.
I have taken myself out of my safety zone by walking in front of my students and co-workers during lunch. I've been walking everyday this week and I am walking 24 to 35 minutes at a time. It comes to a 3.5 mile an hour pace. Not bad for somebody who sat for the last couple years in a chaise lounge that supports my bulk. Well my bulk is getting smaller.
I lost three inches around my waist. If anybody finds the three inches please do not return it.
Anybody have a cure for plumber's butt? My pants slip down as I walk. The belly pushes the pants and belt down. I tried suspenders a couple times 15 years ago. They are dangerous when they snap.
I looked at several online hydration calculators and the most reliable suggest 16 to 25 cups a day. I thought that would be difficult until I stopped putting ice in the water. Apparently iced drinks can make you feel full.
I love SparkPeople. I eat anything I want and tracking foods helps me make smart choices. I wanted Stater Bros self rising pizza. A serving is 1/6 of the pizza and I knew I wanted to eat half that pizza when we purchased the pizza that morning. I put the pizza into my tracker early in the morning and made adjustments around those calories throughout the day. I only ate 1/4th of the pizza during dinner but I could have eaten 1/2 if I desired.
