I'm in preparation mode these days. I have about 13 days before my shoulder surgery and there are many things to do. The primary thing that I would like to complete is making frozen meals for hubby and me. I try to stay away from processed foods as much as possible so making homemade dinners and freezing them will be helpful when I am incapacitated. I know that I may have to resort to some frozen Weight Watchers meals but if I plan ahead enough, I should be able to minimize the number.
Tonight, I made SLENDERELLA61's chicken vegetable casserole. It was delicious! I doubled the recipe and will freeze half or more of the leftovers. I will continue to do this type of process throughout the week so that I will have plenty of meals for the nights when I need frozen meals. I have also started purchasing things like tuna pouches, protein bars and frozen fruit for smoothies. I will need to purchase and get our Easter cards ready for mailing. I think I will make a list in order to be better organized and hopefully not forget anything important.
Preparation will ease my anxiety about my surgery. It will keep me from missing any important task and it will make me feel like I'm in control of the situation. My goal is to be ready the weekend before March 12th so that I can relax and take it easy.
