I didn't get a chance to write a blog entry last evening. I was invited to a demonstration of the new items and recipes coming out in the new Pampered Chef catalog on March 1st. I'm a PC addict so I couldn't pass that up. Before I left, I had an apple to tide me over - I was worried about going there too hungry, but also didn't want to use every last calorie for the day in case there was something I just *had* to try. In the process of cutting the apple up, I cut myself pretty deeply with the knife. Stupid me...wasn't paying attention and attempted to take off the tip of my thumb. OUCH!
After going to the event, running to the pharmacy, and finally getting home (the weather was nasty!), it was a chore to stay up long enough to enter the foods that I'd eaten during the second half of the day. Because I had a spoonful of this and a spoonful of that at the PC event, I didn't track those items. None of the recipes are out yet as they're in a cookbook that isn't available for purchase until March 1st. I didn't want to spend a ton of time trying to figure out what was in each bite and entering it...so I didn't. I figured that's a minor cheat and since my thumb was throbbing, I didn't even feel guilty about it. Life is too short to try to determine how much ground hamburger might be in a spoonful of taco dip. Screw that.
Today I was back on track for the most part. I planned breakfast and lunch, but didn't exercise. That silly "toy" Gazelle I was mocking on Monday really kicked my butt (and legs!) Either it's a better workout than I thought or I'm more out of shape than I thought...or more likely a combination of both. Either way, I'm still achy, but feeling better today. Tomorrow, I plan to start back up with exercise.
