The last two days have been super stressful and tiring. I'd come home from work and chow down! Candy, ice cream, chips...yesterday, I ate two XL candy bars! Exercise doesn't seem to help my bad days :( idk what to do!

I've found that I need to plan ahead. If I have the choice between salty and sweet goodness just sitting there and healthy food that I need to cut/wash/cook, I'm going for the salty and sweet goodness. However, if I don't have that stuff around, but I DO have sliced apples or peeled oranges, I'll either eat those things or do without. Having the unhealthy stuff around is dangerous; not having healthier stuff when you need a nosh is dangerous too. Sometimes I go for a healthy granola-type of snack that'll last longer than fruits and veggies. You can get ones with carob or little pieces of chocolate that might not be the best for you but will definitely be better than two candy bars. Hopefully this helps some.

Good luck!

Cafe, one thing you might try is not buying the stuff using the "out of sight, out of mind" principle. Not only will you avoid the calories, you'll save a little money. If you must buy treats for kids or spouse, buy flavors you don't like but they eat.

I'm not being sanctimonious; I've been there done that and still doing it sometimes. I try not to buy potato chips because I eat the whole Sam's size bag in 1 evening of tv. I've not bought Sam's cookies until a few days ago because they all disappear even though I am sure I don't eat that many. They are still in the car and I try not to go out there for more than 4 cookies at a time.

I suspect you frequently think about the things you are trying to avoid like the Cafe Latte in your e-name.

Its choices and only you can make those choices.

    #1...get it out
#2...if you need candy, break it up and eat a little. Then lock it in your car! emoticon
