Holy crow! I weighed myself at the gym again today, and it said I am at 171 pounds. I double checked that on my home scale when I got home and it was accurate. That means I have lost 4 pounds this week! Wahoooo!! It also means I have now lost 149 pounds since I started this lifestyle change.
I can't pinpoint one single thing that got me off that plateau... I just kept doing the things that have worked all along. I have increased my running mileage a little, but not by any extreme amount. I have kept my calories consumed at about the same level. My dad says that those 2.5 months stuck at 175 pounds was just my body getting prepared to change my weight set point. I don't know if that is true, but I do know that I am excited to finally see that scale moving down once again.
The weather was crappy today, so Cooper got short walks. He just doesn't like it when it is cold AND wet. It was a gym day for me, so I figured "no biggie, I'll just do a couple extra miles at the gym." Worked out pretty well. I ran 4.2 miles on the treadmill, then pedaled 14.4 miles on the bike, then ran another 2.4 miles on the treadmill before doing my ST. I need to get back to the workout the PT set up for me with the dumbbells. The last week or so I have been mostly been using the machines.
Oooh... and I got my popcorn popper today. Now I just need some popcorn to put in it. lol My mom has a ton stored away in her pantry, so I will probably raid her supply when I go over for lunch on Saturday. (It is okay, she said I could!) I see yummy fresh popped popcorn in my future!
