A week or so ago, I read an email that said something about it being 13 (or 14) weeks until Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer. It really got me thinking. I was trying to formulate some sort of challenge for myself, because my motivation has been waxing and waning since my office moved too far from my gym for me to continue to go there. I have been (sort of) keeping up with my running program, usually doing 2 days a week (the program calls for 3 days a week). I have several race events that I am already registered for, so that is kind of keeping me going. The area where I am really lacking is my nutrition. Today, I did not eat lunch until 1:00 and, when I told that to my dh, he said something interesting. He said: "You know that you are supposed to eat several meals a day. You are an athlete and you need to fuel your body."
Me? an athlete? Well, then. I better start acting like one.
I do know that I am supposed to eat small, frequent meals throughout the day. I just need to *DO* it.
How ironic when I logged in to Sparkpeople and saw the new book being advertised with the offer for 90 days of free SparkCoach if you preorder it. Last time I checked, 90 days is about 12 weeks, which brings us, once again, to the Unofficial Start of Summer! This is too big of a coincidence.
