I started the Shred Diet last Wednesday. I had went a month in a bit of a plateau, and was hoping to jump start my weight loss effort again. I had read about Dr. Ian Smith's new plan on some blog, and was intrigued. It used real, normal food. Didn't require crazy ingredients. It looked very healthy. It also works well with my current exercise plan. So, I started it.
Now that one week is down, I can say it is very doable. It does require planning. It helps to look ahead during the week, so you have the fruit, vegetables, and ingredients required for your meals. I can also say that it seems to work. I am DOWN 2 POUNDS! Being someone who has hypothyroidism and an iffy relationship with weight loss, this is thrilling. This plan is supposed to rev your metabolism, I think it might be working. I will update each weak to talk about how things go.
