Oh No!!

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

I tried to get on my old computer this morning and the screen was black. I don't know if it is a virus or if it finally gave out. I have no e-mail on my lap tops. They are not connected to my printer and typing on them for me is very hard, I am used to the old keyboard.

Part of a spreadsheet I did for March is lost. I called my son and asked him to come over and help me to dismantle the old computer and set up a lap top to the printer at my regular desk which has a flat, pull-out drawer that I can lay folders on. My daughter's desk has drawers on the left where the knee hole is and my desk has an open knee hole area which I like. I also sit in a straight chair at her desk and have a regular office chair at mine.

I won't know what else is missing on my lap tops, I guess, until I need it. I am in uncharted territory now on the new lap tops. I have to learn how they work because I have paperwork to do for my Mom and receipts to put on spreadsheets.

I probably won't be responding to comments until I get this skin infection cleared up and learn how to type speedily on a lap top. When I am sitting at the computer, I hope to be getting the receipts done.

It may be the monitor not the computer. I need a new computer but I really am not ready for windows 8. I may have a computer custom built like I did the last time. This one I have has been working flawlessly since 2003.

You may want to try hooking a different monitor up to your old computer to see if a picture comes up. I hope you don't have the new windows 8 on your laptop - ugh! I am still trying to figure it out!

Don't worry about us, we'll be fine. I hope your laptop starts revealing it's secrets soon.
