Week 26 - I'm doing great... well, except for this and that

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Last week (all week) I had kidney stones. The last time (only other time) I had one was after I lost 50-60 lbs (9 years ago, yikes!) and it was so big I had to have the sonic blasting surgery. It was cool, but I lived with the pain for 3 weeks while my doctor misdiagnosed me with a bladder infection (even though I was asking for an ultrasound to rule out a kidney stone!!!). This time, it was either a lot of little stones or one big one that broke up so I could pass it/them. The pain lasted a week, but now I feel fine, so I'm hoping it's behind me. Then I got the call today that I failed my gestational diabetes screen, so I have to go back tomorrow for the 3 hour test where I fast beforehand and get to have blood drawn every hour. yay! I'm nervous and hoping that the one tomorrow comes back that I'm fine. I've done a lot of reading up on gestational diabetes since I knew that I was at a higher risk with it being a twin pregnancy, but I never really thought it would happen to me because I didn't have it with my first. *sigh* I'm going to need spark more than ever after the twins are born because if I do have it, I will have a 60% increase in risk of getting type 2 diabetes later in life. Gotta keep exercising and eating right (and standing at work, can't WAIT until I can do that again)! I'm pretty scared about the results of tomorrow, but at least this isn't anything that the professionals I'm working with haven't already seen! :D Just a little over 2 months to go! Except for all that stuff above, I'm doing fine...
Have a great day!!

OK, have a small box of baking soda nearby. When you drink cider vinegar or lemon water you want to neutralize the acid and not let it destroys your teeth enamel. If you get the pH test strip, you will see what I mean as baking soda with turn the paper to purple color (alkaline) Take a pinch of baking soda and then rinse to save your teeth. Don't let your teeth bath in acid all day. You can feel the difference on your teeth once you try this out.

P.S. Cinnamon is good for the bones and will cut the blood sugar. Take a teaspoon with honey. Look up Ceylon true cinnamon. Swanson has them too. Also check out silica in bamboo http://www.swansonvitamins.com/swan

and Boron. Silica and boron are the most underrated minerals for bones. The bone consists of at least 12 minerals, not just calcium. If you do a search on how beer is good for bones, it's because of the silicon from malted barley. That is what I make at home, using malted barley without the alcohol in beer. I'll need to write a blog on malted barley. Good luck.

Hang in there! One step at a time and keep making healthy choices. Hopefully this next test will be good news. Glad you are feeling well otherwise.

Sorry to hear about this and that part. I've been studying herbs (mostly Western and some Indians) Kidney stones are no picnic and I've been looking for solutions for a friend. First, go to swansonvitamins and look for Chanca Piedra. The Indians have the same herb called Bhumi Amalaki. Very safe as lots of people have been using it for hundreds of years (thousands for India). For diabetes, I think Indian herbs are more powerful and effective. This formula has Indian Kino Tree. Very hard to find ingredient. And cinnamon is great for blood sugar. This formula looks great to me:

https://www.swansonvitam
ins.com/kal-blood-sugar-defense
-60-tabssugar control.

Then add cinnamon on top of the formula

tamins.com/swanson-premium-maxi
mum-strength-cinnamon-bark-1700
-850-mg-120-caps

Chanca Piedra means stone breaker in Spanish from what I read:

mins.com/swanson-premium-chanca
-piedra-phyllanthus-niruri-500-
mg-60-veg-caps

Also, stop taking calcium supplements if you're doing that since the calcium is going to the wrong places. Take vit A, D (cod liver oil) and K2. K2 is very important. Do your research. Good luck.

Hey lady! I'm sorry you're having those issues...will hope/pray for good results for you!! My sister had GD during her pregnancy 8 years ago...and hasn't had any problems since...diabetes free. She eats lots and lots of veggies though, lol. Anyway, glad you gave an update...I was thinking about you & the babies earlier. emoticon

With my third pregnancy, my first test results came back positive and they made me do that three hour test. Thankfully it came back negative! I'm hoping yours will too. Just keep doing as best as you can!!
