C25K Week 6 Day 1 **Now with update

Whew! I keep thinking that it's going to get easier... someday! Need to look at doing something about this shin splint. I don't want to stop training right now but it is killing me. emoticon I'm thinking about making a Dr appt, I have a few things that I should have checked so I could do that too. Might try going to the running store and have my run checked first, maybe I need some inserts or a different style of shoe.
Took a pic when I was done. The visor helps a lot when it's raining but doesn't help when I'm sweating like crazy and fogging up my glasses. emoticon


**Update - Went to Urgent Care and I do have shin splints. Dr. has told me that I can't do anything for at least a week emoticon Hoping this heals up quickly!

    I'm so sorry to hear about the shin splints. I'm glad you went to the dr, and there is some good advice here already about shoes and insoles. Take care!

    If you do go to shoe store make sure they are reputable. I bought inserts then could walk for two day. Was in so much pain. Threw them away, bought a new pair of cheap shoes (Nike, New balance) and shin splints left the building. Go figure.

    emoticon I'm doing W6D1 on Saturday. I would definitely urge you to do something about the shin splints so you don't end up with a stress fracture. I saw a chiropractor about 2 years ago while I was pregnant and they set me up with insoles. Something simple like that might be your answer.
