We are back to winter today, lots of lake effect snow along with some slush and lots of water on the ground. It makes for some interesting travel.
I had lots of fun with my granddaughter last night, and learned an important lesson about her. Don't make her eat something she doesn't want to, because it will end up back on the table :( That wasn't very pleasant, but a good learning experience for Nana. who would have thought that one bite of something she didn't want would cause that reaction. Certainly not me.
I'm looking forward to a peaceful evening. We are having left overs for dinner, so making dinner will be easy. I'll spend some time watching TV and relaxing before bed.
I am the only one who can do this for myself.
I make the choice of what I put in my mouth and what I don't.
I make the choice to exercise or not daily
I make the choice to have a positive frame of mind
I make the choice to be healthy!
Goals for today:
~ read my mantra
~ 80 oz water
~ 10,000 steps
~ no internet or computer after work
~ 15 flights of stairs
~ haircut during lunch
~ make lunches for tomorrow
~ keep an open mind
~ journal every bite
~ weigh and measure food today
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and as one snack today
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
