Darn, back to square one!

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Yesterday I got back onto the treadmill after a long break...I guess after I got that ear infection and having a break to recover I never got back on the treadmill, and now I am back to square one! SIGH!!!!

I REALLY don't like having to go back to running one minute, walking one minute, until I am back up to my 5 Km run! SIGH!

That's what I get for getting out of the habit, but I did 1.7miles in 30 minutes, 5 of those minutes, running and I will have to build it back up slowly! It was my first time back on the treadmill so I didn't want to over do it!

This morning, SNOW SHOVELING! yep, a workout for sure when the snow is wet and heavy!

Starting back at square one is better (for your body, your mind, your spirit), than never starting again at all. I'm thinking about restarting the C25K again myself.

That's what I'm afraid is going to happen to me, because it's basically been a month since I ran! all we can do is keep plugging, I guess.

I have found that one of the most vauable life skills learned as an athlete is how to recover from a set back

You have 2 months to get where you want to be for the race. The March challenge should be a big help to keep you going!
The snow will give you a work out too...

It always seems wrong to me that it takes so long to build up our fitness level and then how quickly it diminishes when we dont keep it up.....something wrong with that plan. LOL
Enjoy the workout the shoveling will give up. Its still hot and humid here, I could happily be shoveling snow.......sigh
